Experts Announce: You Are Wrong!

My favorite movie’s dad beats your favorite movie’s dad in a thumb war.

You heard it here first.

“The Social Network” was apparently a masterwork full of originality and deep, sharp commentary about our troubling modern world.  It was the little engine that could (not) in its brave attempts to overcome a lack of popular support and a hard, technological edge to win an Oscar.

So say the experts.

Don’t they?

Of course, we couldn’t actually show you any experts and all we brought you back from our trip to the Oscars was this shitty click-through picture-set with inexpert blurbs neatly typed at the bottom and some classy, understated Chrysler advertising.

    The combination of a film about a disability, and britaphelia doomed the Social Network.

    Hollywood Britophilia should never be underestimated. It’s historical roots run deep.
