Woe is You

January 19, 2011

Nobody likes to hear bad news.  Especially when it affects a loved one.

Yet there is always a type of person that fails in the proper application of support.

For the most part, I don’t think they do it out of spite.  It’s just the nature of people to view everything from their own perspective.

My battleaxe mum sent out an email to the immediate family late Saturday evening.  She didn’t want to discuss the matter personally with anyone.

I finally called her today.  It was, I felt, the appropriate amount of cushion from “I don’t want to talk about it.”  We had a good chat.  Mostly laughing about what twats my siblings are for responding as assbackward as possible, given the situation.  They all let mum know, in no uncertain terms, that she was being selfish and wrong and should have called them all immediately.

Silly people.  Will you ever grow up?

We can all try to be what we are needed to be from time to time.  Our Self will not dwindle to nothing in the effort.

Time, properly applied, can be a balm.

Methinks this calls for a day at the race track.
